Root built the Invictus v3 to be faster, stronger and lighter than the Invictus v2. It weighs 3.4kg with a 5.2" wide deck, chromoly bars and 120mm wheels, and Root describes it as perfectly balanced.
It comes with Root's Chromolite bars, the forged Invictus v3 Honeycore deck, AIR fork, AIR Lite clamp, AIR headset, Fractal grips and 120mm Honeycore wheels.
Deck
The deck is 5.2" wide and 20.5" long. It has more honeycore cutouts than earlier versions, so it is lighter than previous Invictus decks even though it is bigger. Root makes it from a magnesium-enriched 6082 alloy that it says is stronger and stiffer.
Bars
The triple-butted Chromolite bars are the stand-out part. Root says they are as light as titanium and as strong as chromoly, without the flex of titanium, so landings feel more consistent. They are finished in a burnt-style paint under a clear coat.
Wheels
120mm Honeycore wheels, which Root calls its fastest and most popular wheel.
Grips
Fractal grips use a slow-rebound compound for comfort and grip, with grooves shaped to move sweat away and keep your hands dry for longer.
Fork
Root's AIR fork, with lines that match the headtube for a clean front end.
Headset
Root's AIR headset, with premium bearings under a sleek cover and double spacers.
