Scooter Forks

Scooter forks for every compression system and wheel size. For most riders we recommend the Root Industries AIR fork: IHC or SCS/HIC versions, forged aluminium at about 300 grams, and a verified best price, in stock all year. Envy's Declare and Diamond forks suit Envy completes, Apex forks are the premium pick, and the NATIVE Versa fits every wheel size made when it is in stock. Check the guide below before you buy, because a fork has to match your clamp.

How to choose a scooter fork

A fork has to match two things: your compression system and your wheels. Get those two right and fitting it is a ten-minute job.

Match the compression

Forks come as IHC, HIC or SCS. An IHC fork has a threaded bolt through the middle and takes standard-diameter bars with a slit. HIC and SCS forks have a plain tube: HIC uses a shim and oversized slit bars, SCS uses a clamp that replaces the top cap and takes slitless bars. Your current clamp tells you which system you run, and every fork listing states what it is built for. Some, like the Root AIR SCS/HIC, cover two systems. If you want to change systems, a conversion kit from the hardware page does it.

Match the wheels

Forks are rated for a wheel diameter and width. Many current forks clear 120mm wheels; older or park-specific forks may stop at 110mm. Width matters too: 24mm wheels fit everything, 30mm wheels need a fork with 30mm spacing. The NATIVE Versa was built to take every standard wheel size, which is why it sells out. Each listing shows its clearance, and if you tell us your wheels we will confirm the fit.

Our picks

  • Root Industries AIR fork. The fork off the Root completes, in IHC and SCS/HIC, forged from a single piece of aluminium at about 300 grams, and the best price on the page. The Invictus v2 IHC fork matches the Invictus and Root street builds.
  • Envy Declare V2 and Diamond. Straight swaps for Envy completes and solid upgrades for any IHC or SCS setup. The Declare clears wheels up to 125mm and ships with 28mm and 30mm spacers.
  • Apex Quantum Lite and Infinity. Made in Australia, light and very strong. The fork to buy once and forget about.
  • NATIVE Versa and Senary. The NATIVE team's street forks. The Versa fits every wheel size, the Senary is the heavy-duty option. Stock comes and goes.
  • Unfair FX-1. Premium street fork for riders building something special.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between IHC, HIC and SCS forks?

IHC forks have a threaded bolt inside and take standard slit bars. HIC forks take oversized slit bars with a shim. SCS forks take slitless bars with an SCS clamp that replaces the top cap. Match the fork to your clamp and bars, or buy all three together.

Will this fork fit my scooter?

If it matches your compression system and clears your wheel size, yes. Every modern deck uses an integrated headset, so the fork itself fits any deck. Check the listing for compression and wheel clearance, or message us your scooter model.

Can I put 120mm wheels on my fork?

Only if the fork is rated for 120mm. The Envy Declare V2 clears up to 125mm and the NATIVE Versa takes every standard size; some park forks stop at 110mm. Check the product page, or ask us.

Which fork is best for street?

A strong, 120mm-capable fork: the NATIVE Versa or Senary when in stock, the Root Invictus v2 or the Apex Infinity. For park, the lighter Root AIR or Envy Declare is plenty.

Do forks come with a compression kit?

It varies. Some IHC forks include the compression bolt and shim, while SCS and HIC setups need the clamp or kit bought separately. Each listing says what is in the box, and the hardware page has every kit.

How fast do you ship forks?

Forks ship fast from our own stock. $10 in Australia, free on parts orders over $250 in Australia and New Zealand.
