Coomera Skatepark Review

Jack Hopgood takes us through Coomera Skatepark, which was still relatively new at the time of filming. This park is definitely on the quirkier side with some of its obstacles, but it also nails the sought-after classics — a proper handrail and hubbas.

What to expect

The street section is the draw: two nice mellow hubbas and a mellow down rail with a five-stair bank either side — really good for practicing lips, 50s, whatever you want. The quirks are real too: a rainbow rail over a little hump, a wall you can ride, and a steep bank at the corner that looks like it was built to replicate a barrier — you can get creative with it.

Around the back there’s a genuinely fun bowl section: a deep bowl with pool coping all the way around (slippery, grinds great and sounds even better), a keyhole, a little hook bump in the middle and extension quarters behind. The full video above shows both sides of the park’s personality.
