The team take us on a trip to Acacia Ridge Skatepark. This plaza-style skatepark has been a classic meet-up spot for us across years of riding Logan spots.
What to expect
Fair warning: there’s not a single quarter pipe in sight, so if you’re heading here you’d really want to be fiending a ledge sesh.
The pick of the ledges is the long mellow curved one — the top slants away from the coping, so it’s easy to lock into 50s and feebles, and it’s where we had our biggest session. There’s also a ledge with a slanted face you can ride up into grinds, two ledges joined at a right-angle corner, and the longest ledge in the park, which runs into a curved ledge one way, a sharp redirect the other, and has a garden gap to grind over. The little flat rail is short and thin — really good for learning new tricks — and the centre garden is lined with a curb that’s waxed up on one side (chunky, but fun).
