The rundown
Coorparoo is a proper street plaza: a big open flat surrounded by ledges, banks and rails, with the mini ramp sitting off to the side. It’s covered in graffiti, it’s been ridden by generations of Brisbane riders, and it still delivers. If you like building lines out of ledges and manuals, there aren’t many parks in Brisbane that do it better.
The L ledge, curved ledges and out ledges
The big L ledge is the centrepiece — long and perfect for grinds that carry around the corner. Next to it is the big curved ledge, and around the edges of the plaza there are out ledges and down ledges, so there’s a grind line whichever way you’re rolling.
Picnic table, flat bar, manual pad and step ups
In the middle of the plaza you’ll find the picnic table, the flat bar and the manual pad, with step up ledges behind them. The flat bar has had its share of drama over the years — Regan covers the whole flat bar saga in the video. The manual pad and step ups are ideal for learning manuals and ledge tricks at a sensible height.
Fun box, euro and the down rail
The fun box and euro give you options to gap, grind or bonk, and the down rail on the bank is the one to work up to once you’ve got your flat bar tricks dialled. There’s also a hip in the corner for airs and transfers.

The mini ramp
Off to the side is the two-level mini ramp, so you can switch from street to transition without leaving the park. It’s a good place for younger riders to get comfortable on transition away from the busy plaza.
Getting there and session tips
You’ll find the park at 92 Cambridge St, Coorparoo, about 500 metres from Coorparoo train station, so it’s an easy one to get to without a lift. There’s a pump track, toilets and a picnic shelter in the same park, which makes it a good spot for a whole-family afternoon.
