Shailer Park — officially Matthew Lambert Skate Park on Harley St — is one of Logan’s most underrated street plazas. It’s compact, it’s shaded, and nearly every obstacle in it grinds. The Syndicate team spent a session rating every feature; the full video review is above.
The rundown
The layout is a tight street plaza with banks bookending the park and ledge lines running through the middle. Nothing here is oversized — it’s all session-able, which makes it a park you warm up at in five minutes and then stay for three hours.
The concrete is smooth and quick, and because the whole park sits under a canopy of big established trees, it stays rideable on hot days when open-air parks are cooking.
Ledges, rails and the good stuff
The centrepiece for street riders is the long flat-to-down square rail — perfect height, honest length, and approachable from both directions. Back it up with the steel-edged wedge ledges (one with a proper hubba feel), an L-shaped steel-topped ledge, and you’ve got a full grind circuit without repeating yourself.
The quirks are what give Shailer its character: a china bank topped with a steel pole for pole-jam style coping tricks, and a long curved snake-run wall on the high side that you can carve or slash like a mini ditch. There’s also a set of movable steel grind boxes — the blue and orange units get dragged around the flat, so the park is a little different every visit.

Who it suits
Street riders will get the most out of Shailer Park — if ledges and rails are your thing, this is one of the better technical circuits on the south side. Beginners are well looked after too: the banks are mellow, there’s plenty of open flat, and the park’s compact size means parents can see everything from one spot. What you won’t find is a bowl or big transition — for that, hit Springfield or Loganholme and treat Shailer as your tech-street day.
Getting there and session tips
You’ll find the park on Harley St, Shailer Park, just off the motorway corridor near the Logan Hyperdome — free parking on site, with basketball courts, a playground and outdoor exercise gear in the same reserve, so it’s an easy one for the whole crew. The tree cover keeps the concrete cool through the middle of the day, and the motorway sound wall means you can session as long as you like without bothering anyone.
