Around the park

The main part of the park is the transition: an enclosed bowl with half of it open into the rest of the park, two pockets and a little keyhole gap, quarters around the five-to-six-foot mark on each side, and a nice hip that leads you into the next section. There's also a weird humpty ramp coming down off one of the quarters — you don't see many people ride it, but it's there if you're feeling it.

The street section is where it gets tech. The pyramid ledge is the star: banks on a pyramid with a ledge on top, square coping, slappies on the side — bring your wax, butter it up and it slides for days. Coming off the ledge you get spat out at a pyramid-hip kind of bank, and the up-to-down manual pad next to it is hands-down one of the favourite obstacles in the park. The square flat bar is on an angle, so it's honestly not the best — but you can hop on and grind off the end, and that's really all you can ask of a bar.

Size-wise it sits between small and medium, and it's pretty central in Brisbane — a really fun park. Watch the full video above for the whole lap.
